Kindermusik Program for Young Children

Ages 1½ - 7 (please see appropriate program below for your child's age)
Required at Home Materials (included in tuition of each course)
Begin your child's musical journey today and open up an entire world of music that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. The Conservatory offers 3 different levels of Kindermusik that is specifically designed for the development of that specific age group.
Kindermusik Our Time®
Ages 1½ to 3 or 3½ years
Children play instruments, learn finger plays, listen to the sounds of the world around them, move to music, sing along, and enjoy Music & Movement Story Time with you right in the center of each adventure.
Imagine That!®
Ages 3 or 3½ to 5 years
This segment captures a child's attention, nurtures budding creativity and individuality, and enhances the overall learning process - all through a remarkable blend of music, singing, movement, literature, instrument exploration and pretend play. Using the power of imagination, your child will become an active participant in the learning process.
Kindermusik for the Young Child®
Ages 4½ or 5 to 7 years
This curriculum introduces the thrill of the glockenspiel, a pre-keyboard instrument, and the wonder of string and woodwind instruments, like the dulcimer and recorder. The capstone of Kindermusik, Young Child® is the perfect pressure-free preparation for private instrumental instruction.
Spotlights Voice Class
Instructor: Erin Philleo
For girls only
Available by arrangement with the instructor
Designed for the younger voice student, this class teaches the basics of singing. Students sing as an ensemble, but also have opportunities for solos. Students learn to improvise and compose both vocally and on the piano, and become familiar with playing piano. This class can be taken for multiple semesters. Each semester ends with a recital.
Boys Will Be Boys

For boys only

Kids On Keys
This special 2-week long summer camp in the perfect place to introduce Kids to the keyboard. Taught in 8 one-hour sessions
Monday-Thursday 11:00 - 12:00 during the weeks of July 7th and 14th, it is designed for children ages 5-7 and is taught by Mrs. Bette Close.
