I have had the amazing privilege of watching my daughter grow up through the Suzuki violin program. I wanted to create a work of art that turned the violin into a treasure box containing the beautiful memories and the lofty dreams of a young violinist. Through my love of texture and my pack rat tendencies, I hope I have accomplished this task. Thank you to my husband Bill for his help and fastidious workmanship in hinging the face of the violin so it opens and closes like a secret treasure chest.

Peggy's Background: As a child, art was always my way of expressing my truth. After High School, I began my formal art training at Layton School of Art and Design in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, this school closed its doors at the end of my junior year. After several years of brooding and pouting, I finished my BFA degree at a new school, arisen from the ashes called Milwaukee School of the Arts (which later changed its name to Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design).
Ten years ago, my family and I left the big city and moved to the north woods where I opened Jester Studio. Historically, the jester was the only person who could tell the truth to the King with just enough humor to get away with it. At Jester Studio, that is what I continually try and do...truth with just enough humor to get away with it. My favorite mediums are soft sculpture relief, collage, and embellished drawings.
