The Seventh Annual Jazz Festival will be held January 28, 2012 at the DC Everest High School.
Concert is open to general public with free admission.
This event is "non-competitive" and has been designed so all students will be in activities all afternoon. This festival, presented by the finest jazz musicians in the state, is designed not to compete with other jazz festivals, but to offer a more affordable jazz festival for Central Wisconsin’s High School Jazz Ensembles. The half-day format is designed to give students a fast paced, more hands on playing experience.
This festival will be a great opportunity for you to:
-
Give your Jazz Ensemble that starts for the 2nd semester.
-
Take “the next step” with your full-year Jazz Ensemble
-
Receive guidance from clinicians, including the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and Wausau Conservatory of Music faculty members
-
Prepare your Jazz Ensemble for Solo & Ensemble or other late-spring festivals
-
Give your students an opportunity to hear other student Jazz Ensembles
-
Have your students perform and hear a live professional jazz performance
For more information please contact the Wausau Conservatory of Music.
