She taught in Milwaukee and West Allis Public Schools, and is currently teaching music for the D.C. Everest school district. She has been a pianist for several theatrical productions, including productions with Broadway Baby Theatre Company, Rankin Theatre Guild and numerous high school musicals. Ms. Burgess' choir, the Choraliers, was honored with being chosen to sing the opening concert at the 2006 Wisconsin Choral Director's Convention, and in 2007, they will be singing at a national festival in Chicago. Her other group, Choralation, will make a return appearance at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2007. Mrs. Burgess joined the WCM faculty in the fall of 2002.
