Erin began piano lessons at the age of 5 and after 10 years decided to continue her piano studies on her own. She studied voice with Ms. Joan Moynagh. She has studied piano with WCM faculty Ann Applegate and Bette Close, voice with Barb Lattimer and Karen Juliano, along with taking lessons from Molly Roseman and Michael Keller at UW-Stevens Point. She also has studied performance with pianist Marianne Ploger and harpsichordist and instrument maker Keith Hill. She has studied with Linda Roark-Strummer and Sylvia Stone in Italy, and currently studies with Jeremy Silver in the NYC area.
Mrs. Philleo has been teaching piano and voice in her private studio since 1998, where she has taught in group lessons as well as one-on-one.
In addition to teaching and performing, Mrs. Philleo enjoys improvising, composing, and accompanying. She joined the WCM faculty in 2002 with Spotlights class, which is geared toward younger girls interested in learning voice but are not quite old enough to take private lessons. Effective Spring 2006, Mrs. Philleo took over as our Kindermusik® instructor.
