Registration
CURRENT FEES & TUITION
Please call the Registrar for current tuition costs for the 2007-2008 school year.
If you need financial assistance, the Conservatory has an extensive variety of aid available. Read the Financial Aid & Scholarship section of this website or call the Registrar for additional information.
Full payment of tuitions and fees are required BEFORE the student will be permitted into the first lesson or class. Payment must be completed at least 15 minutes before the scheduled instruction.
Payment Options
Tuition and fees must be paid, or be arranged to be paid, before a student is admitted to a lesson, class, or ensemble. Payment may be made here online, my mail, or in person at the Registrar's office. Check, money orders, credit cards or cash (please bring exact change) are accepted.
Tuition and fees for instruction are billed on a semester basis.
Payment in Full
Registration is not considered complete until full payment is made, or arranged for.
Split Payment Plan
We also have a program whereby you can have installments deducted from a bank account over a 5 month period per semester (or less). We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER CARD for all payments. Please contact the registrar for all payment information.
Checks should be made payable to the Wausau Conservatory of Music. There is a $25 charge for any check refused for any reason by the bank.
Credit Cards
We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER for all payments. If you are interested in this type of payment, please contact the registrar or go to the online tuition payment area of this site.
*VERY IMPORTANT - Instructor wages are directly dependent upon timely student payments: If payment is not received, the instructor is not paid. Your cooperation is appreciated.
The Conservatory reserves the right to suspend or terminate instruction for students who do not meet their financial obligations by these deadlines; students are still obligated for the full cost of tuition. Tuition credit or makeup lessons will not be given as a result of lessons missed due to suspension.
Students entering after the start of a semester for individual instruction will be charged on a pro-rated basis for the duration of the semester.
Refunds & Withdrawals
LESSONS & CLASSES - There are NO refunds for ensembles or classes.
PRIVATE LESSONS - Refunds for private lessons are only permitted for moving out of the area, or prolonged illness AND according to the date requested as per the schedule listed below. Students will receive refunds pro-rated by the number of lessons received only. Notification must be submitted in writing to the Conservatory Director, and to the student's private teacher explaining the case for withdrawal. Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal. The refund policy is based on the assumption that the student has paid the tuition in full prior to the date of withdrawal. Registration is based on a semester commitment, e.g., number of lessons indicated on the registration form. Because of contractual obligations to our teachers for instruction and other services at the start of the semester, tuition refunds will be based on the following schedule:
Withdrawal prior to first lesson 100% refund minus deposit and registration fee
Withdrawal during first two weeks 75% refund
Withdrawal during third week 50% refund
Withdrawal during fourth week 25% refund
Withdrawal after fourth week No refund
We regret that there can be no refunds for partially paid tuition for registration fees, for withdrawal after the fourth week of the semester, or for any part of summer session fees unless the classes or lessons are cancelled by the Conservatory. In that event, 100% of the paid tuition and fees will be refunded..
There are no refunds for dropped classes, workshops or ensembles. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
The tuition for lessons, workshops, classes, and ensembles are subject to change without notice.
