WORLD MUSIC DRUMMING AT THE CONSERVATORY !

Enjoy making group music!
No Experience necessary.
All equipment will be provided.
Having fun playing hand drums
Faciliated by Margaret Jerz.

World Music Drumming, now in over 20,000 schools worldwide, is an innovative idea whose time has come. This successful curriculum has shown outstanding success at engaging all students in hand drumming traditions (West Africa, the Caribbean, and others) combined with singing, moving, playing other instruments, and creating.

What is World Music Drumming?

It is an exciting way to learn to:

  • Play various types of drums and other percussion instruments.
  • Explore and experience the music of West Africa and the Caribbean Islands.
  • Understand and place greater value on all cultures

We will be having classes for all ages plus drum circles where you can just come and play.  For more information on what World Music Drumming is, click here.
